The 2026 Kia K4 lineup gives Quebec shoppers two very different shapes built on the same platform. The K4 sedan keeps the classic three-box silhouette and a sloping fastback roofline. The 2026 K4 Hatchback takes that same platform, shortens the body, and replaces the trunk with a lift-up rear door and dramatically more cargo room. For Laval drivers choosing between them, the decision is...
Nearly three years ago, Hyundai and Kia struck a blow with the launch of twin vehicles, the Palisade and Telluride. They're twins because they share the same platform and powertrains, but they're also different because each has its own image, its own style and its own equipment quirks.
Which one is more interesting? Both, actually, but with Kia, there's that little something. A little something extra that makes the offer very attractive.
More safety
As you might expect, the safety package is essentially the same from one company to the next. However, when you take the time to analyze the features offered from the outset at both addresses, you'll notice one small element that shouldn't be overlooked.
With the Telluride, you get blind spot and rear cross-traffic alerts right off the bat. These are two very important features, especially with a family. In the Palisade's lineup, you have to upgrade to take advantage of these two things.
More space
You'd think, because you're dealing with twins, that interior space would be virtually the same, down to the millimeter. That's partly true, especially when you consider the total interior volume. The advantage goes to the Telluride, but only by a few dozen liters. However, behind the third row of seats, the difference is more marked. The Telluride has almost 600 liters, while the Palisade is closer to 500.
More luxury
Finally, the other little extra feature that the Telluride offers is a touch of luxury. There's no shortage of it in the Palisade, especially as you move up in the lineup, but with the Telluride, it's rich from the start. The presence of synthetic leather seats in the base model is proof of that. On the Palisade, cloth seats are found with the base model.
It's up to you, of course. Test drive both models and you'll find that the Kia Telluride offers a little something that you'd expect from the Palisade.
