Laval drivers know the daily grind. You're navigating Autoroute 15 toward Montreal during rush hour, merging onto Autoroute 440, and trying to stay on schedule while keeping up with calls, messages, and navigation updates. The right vehicle can turn that commute from stressful to straightforward, and the 2026 Kia K4 is built to do exactly that. The K4 brings smart connectivity and...
The Kia Forte has been one of the automotive industry's biggest surprises in the 2010 decade. From the moment it arrived in 2010, it established itself as one of the best buys in its class.
Its last two redesigns, in 2014 and 2019, made it one of the best cars, period. And now, for 2022, Kia is giving it a makeover to make it a must-have proposition.
Here's what this upgraded version has in store for us in the new year.
Aesthetically, the model gets a few tweaks that only make it look younger. The front end has been redesigned and borrows elements from the new EV6, particularly in terms of the visual signature. Overall, the Forte also looks like a mini Stinger, which is far from a flaw. At the rear, a spoiler is now integrated into the trunk, which adds to the character and sportiness of this compact car.
On the GT models, a new LED signature is also recognizable.
When you move around the car, there are a lot of changes as well. First of all, still with the GT versions, it will now be possible to enjoy a 10.25-inch screen (instead of 8) at the multimedia system. In addition, all versions will also benefit from the addition of a more massive screen to the instrument cluster; the size of the latter increases to 4.2 inches.
Also new for all variants, the connection to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto apps will now be wireless.
Finally, the other big change is the upgrade of the list of standard safety equipment offered. For example, the Forte 2022 comes standard with lane keeping assist, lane tracking assist, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, driver attention alert, as well as lane departure warning.
As an option, you can choose adaptive cruise control. Interestingly, it slows down on its own as you enter a sharp turn because its link to the navigation system allows it to anticipate the road ahead. Also available are rear cross-traffic and safe exit alerts.
In short, a more complete Kia Forte is available for 2022.
